Mark Foreman
Married with one son and two beautiful grandchildren. I am a disabled combat veteran of the Vietnam War, and now a retired public school teacher since 2005. I sit on the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs/Council on Veterans Programs, I'm the board president of my neighborhood association and board president of Peace Education Project of Peace Action Wisconsin. I am a life time member of Veterans for Peace and Disabled American Veterans.
Bill Christofferson
A former journalist and longtime political consultant, now "mostly retired," Bill was a marine combat correspondent in Vietnam. He is a member of Veterans for Peace, a board member and past co-chair of Wisconsin Network for Peace and Justice, and a board member of Wisconsin Anti-Violence Effort (WAVE), which works to reduce firearms violence. He and his wife, Karin, live in Bay View on Milwaukee's south side.
Beth Eisendrath
I am an attorney practicing basic estate planning, guardianship and criminal defense. In my spare time, I coordinate a networking group of lawyers, and I am also an active member and Internet contact person for the Wisconsin Club, part of Toastmasters International, a public speaking organization.
Dennis Darmek
I have been making photographs, documentaries and media work in Milwaukee since 1976. The work has been regularly featured on PBS and exhibited in museums and galleries around the country and internationally. I have received media grants and fellowships from the Wisconsin Arts Board, Milwaukee Artist Foundation, Film in the Cities, Jerome Foundation and the PBS New Television Workshop. Since 1982 I have been employed by Marquette University as an administrator and media producer. I spent two years in the United States Marine Corps and served with the 7th Marines in Vietnam.
Paul Moriarity
I have been a member of Veterans for Peace for the past four years, and have served as president of the Milwaukee chapter for over a year. For the past four years I have worked with the Peace Learning Center of Milwaukee, teaching youth about positive strategies for solving and communicating about conflicts. I am currently a reading and special education teacher in Milwaukee, and proud father of an incredible daughter.
Ula Tempska
Born and raised in Poland, where I earned a MA in English, I came to the US in 1986, where I earned a PH.D in English at the University of Texas, Austin and went on to teach English at several colleges and universities. In 2002 I earned my Juris Doctor degree at Marquette University Law School and am currently specializing in post-conviction and appellate work.
Vance Johnyakin
Since "retiring" six years ago I have volunteered my time in helping lead and motivate a staff of 30 volunteers at Sherman Park Ministries two food pantry's. Every day of the week I travel a regular route picking up surplus bakery and produce or make trips to Feeding America to aquire the frozen and canned food that are integral to the construction of a diversified and substantial grocery allotment. I am pleased now to be able to help with The homeless Veterans Food Pantry.
Russ Haberman
Before my retirement I worked as manager for Holiday Inn, and for the last 15 years have served as director of Sherman Park Ministries two Food Pantry's.
Nancy Wilcox
Married, one daughter.
Member of St John's Evengelical Lutheran Church, serving on several committees including Home Front Ministry and Social Ministry the sponsor of the Neighborhood Breakfast on Thursday mornings of which I am coordinator. Also the registration volunteer at the Tuesday morning Veterans Food Pantry.
Lin Fischer
Lin's background is in nonprofit, real estate and healthcare management. She is a member of Continuum of Care, a coalition that organizes people and resources to end homelessness in Milwaukee through its 10-Year Plan to End Homelessness. Lin received her degree in Social Work at Mount Mary College and attends the
Helen Bader Institute for Nonprofit Management at UWM. She is a volunteer with Share, a volunteer run organization bringing healthy food at reduced costs throughout the Midwest, and continues to focus her volunteer efforts on addressing the needs of those in homelessness and poverty through volunteer efforts with St. Mary Catholic Faith Community and various Milwaukee agencies.
